Some of you, who've been watching me before I changed accounts, will remember that this girls were designed by me for a personal for-fun-project about women boxing. I'd like to re-design them as furry. Would you guys help me decide how? I wanted to use mammals natural for the places those women are coming from.
1. Filipa, Russia - I'd like Tarpan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarpan Wolverine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine European mink http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Mink Polar bear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_Bear Snow leopard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_leopard Harbour porpoise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harbour_Porpoise or Beluga http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beluga_(whale)
2, Leontine, lived in France but fights for Nigeria - Either African elephant, Cheetah, African golden cat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Golden_Cat Lioness or Scimitar oryx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scimitar_Oryx
3. Agatha, USA - Saiga http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saiga_Antelope Yukon horse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yukon_Wild_Horse Black footed ferret http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black-footed_Ferret Dhole http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhole Red wolf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Wolf Ocelot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocelot Gulf coast jaguarundi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_Coast_Jaguarundi or Cougar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Lion
4. Dagmar, Germany - Red squirrel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Squirrel Eurasian Lynx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_Lynx or European otter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Otter
5. Raquel, Spain - Barbary sheep http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbary_Sheep Italian wolf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Wolf Broom hare http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broom_Hare or European rabbit
6. Isaura, Argentina - Andean hairy armadillo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andean.....airy_armadillo Short tailed chinchilla http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short-.....led_chinchilla Andean mountain cat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andean_mountain_cat Giant otter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_otter or Marsh deer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marsh_deer
7. Hei Ryung, South Korea - Long-tailed goral http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemorhaedus_caudatus Siberian musk deer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siberian_musk_deer Tiger or Asian black bear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_black_bear
8. Chiyo, Japan ( this was difficult because I like using vulnerable or threatened species and Japan is filled with them, because apparently they are all so delicious you can't make a good day through without eating a dolphin or two. Good job.) - Japanese sea lion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_Sea_Lion Honshu wolf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honshu_Wolf Hokkaido wolf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hokkaido_Wolf or Iriomote cat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iriomote_Cat - oops, sorry we don't have any good photos. That may be bacuase they all recently gone extinct! Probably they were tasty or there is a tradition saying that ther testicles will make you looking younger or that you will give birth to a son. Sure gotta love Japan for all those high quality anime about important things like panties, boobies and dating.
Anyway, back to the project. I'll be glad for your opinion! Thank you :)
EDIT: I know the last time, and already now, a lot of people pointed out that they don't have common names. I don't and didn't live in any of the countries and I don't know details such as commonly most popular name. I'm using web page called Behind the names for finding those I like. Judging by what they think is common in Czech, I know the site is inaccurate as hell, maybe except of american names. However, I don't like using names like Natasha for Russian just that everyone knows she's Russian, or Jane for American just so everyone knows she's American. I don't want Helga for German, I don't want whatever soap opera name for any of the Hispanics, I don't like Sakura for Japanese. I know the names are common but they seem anonymous to me. I myself don't have the most common Czech name ever (since it actually is a diminutive).
EDIT2: I also don't use common and least concern mammal species. I don't like using doggies, kitties, dragons, wolves and foxes. Everyone cares for those, yes. I'm not any activist (far from it, Im way too poor to donate any money and way too occupied with two jobs, fiance's immigration, my transition and having money for tomorrow to be active) but I have a soft spot for concerned, threatened, endangered, critically endangered and recently extinct species. Yep, saiga may not be an object of everyone's furry love, but I'm not gonna use wolfie just because everyone is eager to add another to the million of them already drawn. No bad feelings with those who like this, I'm just not one of those.
FINAL EDIT:
Alright, thanks for all the opinions.
