The detail on this is stunning. The ears, the fur, the mane direction, the grass beneath them, it all looks almost photographic - and the parts that don't look like a photo is what makes it true art. There's a difference between artistic rendition and artistic interpretation.
I honestly think this is one of my favourite realism pieces on FA. And you're my favourite realism artist on FA. I hope I don't sound like a brown-noser but I just want you to feel accomplished in your field of art because you've gotten to the point where you can honestly call your works masterpieces.

I don't know, but something feels a little strange.. Can't put my claw on it though. Maybe.. shouldn't there be some shadows of mwongozis paw and muzzle on growltiger? I don't know.. :/

Yeah, I know what you mean about the shadowing/lighting, actually. Kind of a subtle "not exactly WRONG but not as right as it 'should' be" sort of thing? I wanted them to be backlit from the centre, so that they "glowed", but without casting harsh shadows on the foreground (which often occurs with strong backlighting). Maybe something to do with that? I fudge lighting a lot, gotta admit :V
