So, it's been a while since I've cooked up something for myself, what with living off my commissions for the last year, so I figured I was overdue to whip up something badass for me. It's healthy for artists to do that kinda thing. So why the hell not?
I also put a fair bit of thought into my personal armor designs. Lately I've taken a liking to "rifleman" loadouts as opposed to my previous infatuation with melee combat, so I fiddled with the suit design a little. The arm surfaces were adapted to better protect while in firing stance, the jetpack's been refined a bit, though you cant really tell with all the fire. Also not featured are minidrone launchers that can lob out tiny reconnaissance drones, or guided grenades of various types. The gun is reminiscent of a 40K bolter, which is fine by me. They've got versatility and raw firepower, and remain one of my fave fictional weapons, so I decided to do my own take on it.
Yeah, I think a lot on this stuff. Keeps me sane, y'know?

I had a deathwatch character, he really didn't get to see enough use though. Basilio, Crimson Fists Assault Marine. Near suicidal, and yet never could get him killed, cause every enemy who got close, exploded on his power fist. Really it was hilarious, I think me and the Tactical Marine took down a prince in one round.

beautiful piece my friend always wonderful to see stuff from you and one of yourself kicking butt ;) always good to 'vent a little' and do something fun for yourself. love the design and man that fire must have been a bitch to work out but hey :3 great job man great job!
And This, Strype, is why i'd love to get a follow up piece to the one i got last AC, of Raziel in full gear, with his aura playing over it, like a Terminator post teleport and still brimming with a tad of the warp around him, the blue fire leaking from his eyes with a heavy bolter or thunder hammer /storm shield combo. You would make it completely EPIC!

All the fire sort of reminds me of the Flame Falcons just before they were declared Excommunicate Traitoris and supposedly went renegade.
