I've started a more homeopathic lifestyle in the last year or two. What you call alternative healing in this fashion drug addicted world, people called healing just almost a century ago. Chemical remedies have really only started about 100 years ago! Maybe there's a reason for these "folk/old wives remedies" ya? So today I share a drink to boost your immune system!
Apple Cider Vinegar has many properties for health care both inside and outside the body. Anyone can Google the benefits and read any o a number of pages that show up. This concoction here is a good way to intake the apple cider without all the harsh acidic sensations. From diarrhea and upset stomach, to sinus infections, muscle cramps, heart health, diabetes, and sore throats; drinking just a glass of this can help a lot of those problems.
The antibiotic and acidic properties in ACV (apple cider vinegar) can help in the body's fight against bacteria that cause diarrhea and it contains pectin which helps in relieving stomach spasms. Studies have shown that ACV can help lower blood sugar and cholesterol in small daily doses. It also contains potassium which thins mucus if you're feeling stuffy and helps fuel your muscles to help in alleviating cramps.
For me this is really tasty and I enjoy a glass about once a week. I've been told that the flavor is nice, but some people just don't like lime. I'm sure this will still be quite tasty if lemonade or a berry/fruit drink is used as well. If you do use something other than limeade, let me know how it goes?
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup organic apple cider vinegar
4-6 cups water (to dilute the taste of ACV if it is too strong for you)
12 oz organic frozen limeade concentrate
Slices of lime for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all the ingredients in a glass pitcher and refrigerate. Keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.

I'm trying a variation of this because I have a cold at the moment. ACV, lemon juice, sliced orange and H2O with a little artificial sweetener because I cant have sugar and don't have honey available at the moment. I've been looking for an easy ACV recipe so I think you may have given me one. thank you *hugs*
