Ideas are fleeting concepts. Like a spark in the night. They're there one instant, and gone the next. It's a shame really. So many ideas go through my head all the time. Oft times, they're just abstract thoughts with no form. Sometimes, they're full illustrations within my mind. But like the spark, it's gone a moment later. But sparks don't have to die. Sometimes, sparks create fires. And a sketchbook is the kindling that idea needs to become a burning flame. An idea jotted down. A sketch drawn. A line here, or a line there. If I had the skill, perhaps something great would come of it. In the end though, it's usually just a some poorly translated thought. Sometimes though, with luck, it's a sketch worth keeping. And for those moments, it's always worth having a sketchbook close at hand. You never know when you have an idea worth saving.
So, this was the second time I commissioned LittleFreckles for a picture of my chee. What I was wanting, actually was something that'd be good for a desktop background or a banner for my Weasyl (which is sorely underutilized by me, unfortunately). And so, because of that, I wanted Skips being creative. Well, I already had my awesome pottery picture made, so I thought whynot a picture of him sketching something? So, this is what Freckles created, and I think it turned out rather awesome! It's my current Weasyl banner, if you ever want to check it out (https://www.weasyl.com/~skips). I might post something there one day...
But, anyways, big thanks to LittleFreckles for creating another awesome picture of Skips! Now go watch her art and stuff, because she's amazing.
