Popufur is a board game I have been designing for awhile now and am finally starting to make some real progress with it. its basically an adventure game set at a furry convention where player compete to gain followers and become the most popular furry that ever lived.
the game is going to be a lot of fun and will celebrate everything great about the furry fandom well at the same time poking fun at it and allowing us to laugh at just how dumb we can be sometimes.
I am moving into play testing now and will be posting as often as I can updating you guys and girls on the games progress. I hope to start a kick starter for it at some point soon and hire a whole bunch of awesome furry artists to bring the game to life!
hope you guys can help spread the word for me, the more people I get interested and excited about this game the more likely it will be developed and sold at furry cons around the world.
I may even be mailing out beta versions of the game to those who show the most interest in the product to help me play test it and make sure Popufur is the best game it can possibly be!

yes there will be a lot of effects like that in the game, at least with that kind of thinking and theme. I even had the leveling system built in to how popular you had gotten, tho that aspect is being re looked at and redesigned now because it tended to create a snowballing effect where players who got ahead early stayed ahead forever.
oh my gosh you are amazing thank you so much! ya I wanted to add a ton of stuff like this. I am considering making the base game pg-13 and then coming out with a "after dark exspansion after it comes out. then I could add funny classes like the porn artist, and the murrsuiter to the mix. oh, and keeping with the theme, every card with have a funny bit of flavor text, and artwork associated with it to keep players laughing as they go through the game :)
Would you ever consider making some sort of mod for a Tabletop simulator to fine-tune the rules, play around with the idea and get feedback? I would still love to see a physical board game of this to play this with my family (who are new to the Furry thing and they love games like Apples to Apples or games where there are tons of subtle jokes we can make).

that would be amazing, but i would have no idea where to even start with something like this. if someone was willing to program it then ya that could be really cool, but i need to have the game become a reality first before i even consider something like this heh. but ya this game will be family friendly for the most part so it should be a fun game to play with non furrys :)
As an avid lover of retro gaming and classic board games, I would like to kindly state that you seem to have a great imagination and wonderful potential as a designer! However, you shouldn't waste your time with "popufur" stuff, that's all a bunch of high school drama crap that furries think matter.
