the only thing that grabs my eye that's looking off, is where the tail is rooted. even if tugged in it looks like it's starting too low.

Thanks, I'll look at it. Her pelvis is suppose to be rotated about 30 degrees from horizontal though but I think you're right and it could be moved up a little. I'll play with it.

The extended foot was the last thing i scribbled in and was not thought out. I did correct it somewhat and used a bit of perspective. looks better.

I guess she's supposed to be a prisoner-soon-to-be-turned-slave? If so, you've got all the essentials nailed down, she even looks like her captors are trying to starve her into submission, which is a nice touch I might add. Only thing that bugs me is the tail, which everyone else has pointed out.

I know this is a wip and all, but if you don't mind some suggestions for additions, I've got a few...

1. have some 'thrown in' plates that her captors slid to her that barely have anything on them at all (like the prison room scene in V for Vendetta)
2. have 2-3 more 'spikes and chains', showing that this 'cell' can hold more then just her
3. throw in a rat or two, especially if you add a plate
4. I think her loincloth should be tattered, like it had seen much better days
5. maybe have a 'brand' on her arm or face, something to show that someone is trying to not only break her, but remove her self-identity.

that's all I can think of at the moment really, and I hope they're not too much trouble to add if you haven't planned on putting them in already. Just my thoughts though.

Thanks for the input but actually, although she is a captive and is trying to be made to be compliant to her captor/owner's will, she is kept in rather luxurious conditions as her captor also shows her off to guests. She is considered an exotic race having been transported great distances from the far North. I picture her captor as a jackal.
She has reserved herself to the fact that she will never see home again and considers herself already dead. She will try and escape if possible but would settle for just getting hold of the b@#$%&d long enough to tear out his larynx...and other body parts if she had the time. :)

The rib shading is from the ref pose I used but will disappear ounce she is furred. She is in good health actually. Ref has been altered considerably.

She will have another chain on the extended foot that trails into the background. She is in an alcove that is open to a larger room with curtains that can be drawn to hide her. The chain on her ankle keeps her from leaving the alcove and the chain on her wrist is used to pull her forward where she can be seen better if she refuses to to so on her own.

She may have a chance to escape though as one of the night guards has come to take pity on her.

The title and pose along introduce a great concept here. She looks good, too!
