Second image from my auction. And I don't know what to say more, I'm so happy that this is finnished > U < http://i.imgur.com/RXWE9JG.gif

Thanks guys, you're too sweet <333
More improvements will be made probably. Yes, I was unsure about how to do those braches so critique welcome.
I was a bit terrified when I did the red sky, but red has positive symbolism in asian culture so it's cool, iz cool. Traditionals look better in real life anyway ;>

Oh my gosh... This... this is why I love traditional so much... because of artists like you ! >o<
That's beautiful and I don't have anything really intelligent to say about it so... *Frustration* Just keep on improving and drawing that well please ! You deserve all our attention ! >o<
And next time, I should definitely find a way to raise my bids and get an all traditional piece from you !

Absolutely gorgeous, especially their bodies and the cloth.
I keep wondering how you make a name for yourself with these gorgeous detailed traditional arts... I do the same thing, and they get like a tenth of the views of my fetish pieces.
I... the anatomy's great, he's immensely sexy, the branches remind me of an opera set I saw once...
But the bit that feels off? Red IS a symbol of good luck in chinese culture, but they don't consider the same shades of red. Red to the blue side, like this, doesn't have any cultural meaning - the lucky red is a vermillion, an orange type red. It's a bit of a system shock to me XD

Thanks ^^. Wait till I start drawing fetish pieces like this bwahaha, gonna conquer the fandom. Yeaa, unfotunately sex always sells.
With you, nothing gets away, doesn't it ;]. Yes, you're right, my bad. Let's look at it as a variation. Also in real it's a bit more red than carmin ;]*excuses, excuses*
About the title, yes it is from the popular traditional song. I like to look up suiting music for drawing :>
Haha, sorry for the shock x3 but they are quite innocent here, only naked.

You'll destroy them all when you do XD
I've been toying with putting my fetish pieces into a new account... Nothing wrong with sexual art, but there's a prejudice against it!
Oh, don't worry, it's an interesting effect! Over in Asia, "red" is a bit more orange than our red.
Eh, color changes in different parts of the world... To us, yellow is a narrow spectrum, that quickly becomes orange and green. But in Japan, green is a very specific color, the color of LED screens and fresh grass. Yellowish greens are shades of yellow to them, and bluish greens are shades of blue. Blekitny and nebisky are all sort of the same color, zielony is a very small chunk of a broad swath.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distinguishing_blue_from_green_in_language These helped so much when I started doing Japanese themes and colors! The other thing to keep in mind is the gigantic palette of grayed colors they have - color used to be very strictly controlled, and the lower classes wore a lot of different shades of gray; so they're very good at telling gray shades apart.
A calming song is good for paintings with a lot of detail ^u^
(Cough) I'm actually something of a naturist, but I'm an American and have trouble seeing the difference between nudity and sex... the pose is what confused me here <3

There is a prejudice but people starting account here usualy know what kind of site this is. I would rather start a new acc for putting things in order(due to lack of folders).
I've been researching some on the colours. That it came out how it did is just my lack of experience :>.
I have to keep that article - moar depth into the illustrations! :D
Ahwww, don't be so hard on yourself xD *hugs* But you're a person of culture^^

It's kinda funny to me... when people start new accounts, they're usually for topics that their regular followers would get sick of. "My usual crowd of transformation weight gain amputee fetishists will soon tire of these latex ponies I've started drawing." xD
If I was to start a long form comic, for example, like
Danogambler type stuff, I'd probably make a new account for it...
The colors came off wonderfully! The earth tones don't conflict with the glowing whites (white is hard in traditional art, well done!)
Cultural connotations are interesting - this is probably the best palette for a romance piece, since in Japan, the combination of Red and White is a symbol of joy (they use it for weddings, and to celebrate girl's first menstruations), and pink is the color of strength for both sexes. It captures the mood well. (What watercolor is the sky here, Alazarin crimson? Rose Madder?)
One trick I use when I'm stuck for color is to design a color scheme around another culture's conception of color. In Asia, their reds tend to be a bit more on the orange side than European reds. And in one tribe in Africa I read about once, the Himba, they only have five colors: serandu stands for red, pink, and orange (Skin and Clay), zuzu stands for dark shades of blue, red, green and purple (Shadow); vapa is white and some shades of yellow (Sky); buru is some shades of green and blue (Plants); and dambu is some other shades of green, red and brown (Earth). It's interesting to see how and why people create color! I've designed a few color palettes thinking of those colors, and how they're related...
Nudity in the arts? Ancient Greece was big on nudity, because it showed off "Classically perfect" bodies. White people across Europe thought the Greeks were perfect, so they copied the nudity as a non-sexual aspect. But I'm still better than most of my countrymen in this regard! We think a visible bra strap is giving sexual consetn.

Also didn't register the title, but that used to be one of my favorite songs when I was like three. XD An LP of a series of children's songs from around the world... I don't remember what was all on it, it had "Sakura sakura"... "Waltzing Matilda," "Los Pollitos," "Cadet Roussard," "Funiculi, Funicula..." I learned them almost phonetically. Bit of a shock to picture naked heterosexual rat people in a calm childhood memory XD
