The Iguana in the Tiger striped leggings
Kelly had to go back in today for a bandage change on his left knee. Now last week his left knee was horribly infected, and he had swelling in his right knee. And starting 3 days ago, the right knee swelled nastily.
I pointed this out to the vet, and he agreed...need to open up the knee and clean out what infection they could find. Mostly discolored joint fluid. But they drained it to help prevent further trouble and hopefully not wreck his right knee like the left was ruined as seen here www.furaffinity.net/view/13467535/
So now he's wearing tiger striped bandages on both legs. But an additional $287...Christ. The things we do to help our pets.
Least he can look at himself in the mirror and head bob at the other iguana in the mirror.

And that is why I want to be a veterinarian. I had a poor vet take care of a kitty YEARS ago, which resulted in him pretty much killing my cat (he's primarialy a large animal vet, Dr. Pohl, he has a freaking show on Animal Planet now)...but I want to own my own clinic and specialize in exotic animals. With one more twist. I'm not gouging my patient's human mom and/or dad. Because that's what it is, they need to make their money and then some..well, that "and then some" isn't totally needed either. I want to make enough to cover my own bills at the clinic, as well as meds, but I know there are people out there way tighter on money than I am...that doesn't change how much they love their animal. A lot of vets totally forget this, especially after all the frustrations and trials of school (I've met lots of people who fall out of that "I love animals so much" stage while going to vet school).
