How many casualties? Our EF5 that in Joplin on 5/22/2011 caught nationwide attention in that the death toll was expected to be a whole lot higher than what it was, and it ended at 162. That's still something to mourn over, but you'd think it would be more than than with an EF5.
There were no severe storms for my particular locale last year, it was very disappointing. A few nights a year I want the thrill of thinking nature might kill us. But I don't care if we even get a rare twister, I'm not going in that basement. I'd rather be hit directly with a tornado than be surrounded by centipedes.
