Also, it's also technically female :O Although with the muscularity, the non-prominent breasts, and all the bird features helping to mask human sexual dimorphism, she could certainly pass for male :b Supposedly, lore-wise, these creatures are physically able to take on dragons toe to toe, so while the director wanted them to have a lean and feminine shape, I couldn't stand to have them be totally willowy models ^^;

Sounds like a medium to high level sort of fire demon or elemental.. which would account for the ability to take on dragons.. at least up to a certain size level / category.
Even some of the most powerful demons don't want to mess with an ancient dragon of the eldest among his kind / type..that's asking for a whole lot of unhappyness. that, also, depends on what KIND of dragon we're talking about, as some are more intelligent and powerful then other types.. naturally.

*chuckles* I'm fairly new to it, was introduced by my fiance just a few years back. Started off doing 4E DnD with a group of friends then tried another d20 system for a bit before my fiance convinced friends to use Pathfinder instead. Haven't tried any other systems much, although we dicked around with WoD very very very briefly/cursorily run by another DM (I think there was only like 1 dice roll in three sessions) so I don't really count it.
