As a person who has a grey sona character i like blue on them but my opinion is biased.

so blues and purples are the colors you tend to go with for your sona?

My main sona Veruca is grey and white so having lighter shades of blue as clothes tend to go well with her purple hair and eyes keeping her from being dull colorwise.

Second OC Skits is blue all over for the most part but purples also help break up his colors as clothes http://www.furaffinity.net/full/13119557/ greens i find work well with him same with veruca since they both have light colors predominantly in their designs.

I think the colors go well with her. But for some reason my mind leans to the purple ranges you had before.
And the glasses seem to go well with her face. Out of the whole picture, I keep focusing on that in particular. She's quite a cute critter in that outfit.

makes sense. I was personally worried I was making her colors too dark as-well as making her look a little too much like a certain unicorn.

I do want her to have a tone of brightness to her since so many of my characters are dark in time. I originally chose that type of gecko because it can be found in Hawaii and I wanted to give her some tones accordingly, but I feel that might be the wrong approach when making a character. I don't want to dedicate her to a race nor come across as racist or something. IDK. It shouldn't matter, unless I do humanized versions of my character I guess, and I have been thinking of doing that before. even then, it's only a visual idea, I'm in no way thinking of carrying this over to her personalty or anything, it's just a visual concept to give my cast a feeling of variety or something, I'm diggiong a hole.

Well, it makes sense if it is found in Hawaii, she's Hawaiian. Nothing racist about that.
But when it comes to animal-people, I don't think you need worry too much. I'm not sure what kind of person thinks like that.
As for her looking too much like a particular unicorn, I can see it, but not too much. The change in hair worked pretty well in disassociating her, and her muzzle shape helps as well.

I do find the hair helped and I did change her muzzle a bit recently to look more like the gecko it's based on so it did help aswell. now I'm mostly working on how her personality will work. I have an idea of how she would interact with the Surgeon, but not too many ideas for others. I'm thinking she doesn't get along that well with others in one way or another, but not sure if I should make her a bit rude about it or not. I have an idea of her knowing Lucine from her past, and remembering Lucine as a bully back when Lucine was one, but it's just an idea.

She seems rather...bookish. This is not to confuse her with a certain...purple horse, but she seems so engrossed in study all the time, that she might be a bit, how do you say, oblivious. After all, how could the Surgeon get her into that sexy bikini without her noticing how tiny it was?
But the assistant seems rather engrossed into learning about her job, and probably forgetful and running on autopilot most of the day, rather then being obsessed about tests like...somebody else.
Lucine seems a bit aloof, almost like one of those girls people assume are unfriendly because they don't smile. I'd imagine she's stopped the Assistant, looking down at her reading tablet, from wandering into a wall or a cart now and then. Maybe Lucine's a bit shy now she's past her bully days? She strikes me as a bit emotionally self conscious, but outside she doesn't seem to care much.
I'm a bit at a loss for Jamie. Jamie seems shy and awkward, but I can't figure out more then that.
Zena, I'm not sure.

For Lucine, I can see what you mean. I know she would still try to live up to an image of a tough person, which could make her seemingly unapproachable. I do feel she would be mostly over bullying others simply because she grew out of it when she found herself unable to depend on it to get her way all the time. She does still bully in her own way, but it's more harmless now. Bully in this sense more means she likes pranking and daring others into things they don't want to do just for a good laugh. I can see her at least once letting the assistant run into something just to see if she would actually do it, especially if she didn't "know" her yet. I can see the assistant remembering Lucine from school before Lucine does.

Jamie's back-story mostly consists of her being turned to a shemale without her initial consent due to a long story involving a "friend" of hers that I have yet to draw. Jamie eventually got over the incident, wanting to stay a shemale even though she could be changed back. I have it in mind that Jamie is very awkward about being a "woman" now and doesn't really know how to "properly" ack, or at least in her head. She's also a bit paranoid about her male genitals and is very uneasy about them, but doesn't want to get rid of them ether. I can't say I have too many ideas for how Jamie's personality was before the incident, other then the idea of her being a swimmer in school (the incident taking place ether in collage or right after high-school.) I haven't made up my mind on if her family ever found out, or what happened to anyone in her past life.

What I have for Zena's back-story so far is that she was a focused and dedicated student of a similar field the surgeon did, not sure what exactly she ended it. something involving genetics, but yeah. She has a lot of pride in her accomplishments and takes herself very seriously. she comes from a wealthy family which effects her behavior as well. She met the Surgeon back in school and inspired the Surgeon into the general field that the Surgeon would eventually take. they are good friends, but the Surgeon gets on Zena's nerves often.

Back in school, when the Surgeon was still "ugly" and mostly friendless, she never really acted out as much in terms of her manipulation and perverted antics. Once the surgeon got what she wanted, the new body, she started to take advantage of it's perks and Zena became aware of a lot of the surgeons real desires and colors.

Zena tends to feel bad for others often, even if she dosn't show it all the time, she worries about the Surgeon going to far with her antics and hurting herself or others, she worries about the Assistant's well being under the Surgeon's guidance, and she feels bad for Jamie's incident and wants to help her with her changed life.

Jamie is especially awkward around Zena due to the fact that while Zena cares for Jamie, she isn't romantically interested in her since, well, Zena is straight, but Jamie does find Zena very appealing. It's a complicated story about if they would or wouldn't change for each other, but I haven't worked that part out yet.

Yeah, I forgot about Lucine being a bully. But her compensating for something (her not feeling tough) has got to impact her relationship with others at times. Not sure why, but I almost seeing her doing delivery jobs for the medical center...

Jamie's background sounds like there's setup for some interesting situations there. And some drama on the family side, if needed.

Zena's sounds pretty good! I like the genetics angle.

yeah, I have plans for her being friend's with Evelyn who is  adorablydevious's character. I had the idea a while ago that Lucine would be a delivery woman and would regularly have to deliver things to the medical center that The surgeon works in.

There are a lot of holes that need filling in Jamie's story, like the family drama and why she decides to stay a girl while keeping the dick. I'm guessing for that last part it's because she likes the way she looks but doesn't want others to know that's the reason.

I'm glad to hear you like Zena's character so far, just need to show it in some comics is all.

Deliveries fit Lucine well, for some reason. Can't get the image of her with a company cap on her head out of my mind.
Sounds good. Always have some drama, but don't wallow in it - it kills good plots at times. Always stifles my interests when webcomics do it too much.

Yeah, save the drama - it grinds stories to a halt. It's best used for effect, to push the plot along rather then the focus of it. Or maybe I just don't like Drama.
That sounds pretty interesting. I can imagine all the shenanigans that happen.

yeah, right now the biggest thing holding me back for stories involving Surgeon and Zena are outfits. I know they both are well off financially and would probably show it in their cloths. So far I tend to stick Zena in blacks and whites as a common fallback, and the surgeon and I'm still working on when it comes to colors she wears. so far black seems to work best for her.

Afraid I can't help with outfit design. That's an area I've never been good at, although black goes with everything. They might have similar tastes after all.
