The last of my finished furry tunes. This one is called "Shy Away". It heads off the CD I made last year and was one of the last tunes I recorded on my own. Yes, all instruments are real and played by Mwah. Probably one of my favorites. There was an underground band from the midwest called 'Poole' that I was influenced by on this one. Very poppy with heavey guitars and vocal harmonies remenicent of The Beatles.
Lyric:
I saw your shadow standing there
the same as dead to me
I swear I could reach out and touch you
Something I've longed to do
But, in my mind I know you'ld disappear so I.............
Shy Away
This dream reaccuring
Leaves me cold and wanting
Your warm touch to cure me
A sacred heart to heal my wounds
Your image fades to grey and I'm left to.......
Shy Away
Beautiful eyes reflecting
Your embrace intoxicating
Fly me like a feather
Through soft cool air
Your paw in mine and promise never ever wake me and we'll
Fly Away

Eewww, my voice is icky, but thank you. >"^_^"<
I happen to have been a huge fan of the Goo Goo Dolls from the begining, when they were a punk/metal cross over band.
Truth be known, the song style for 'Shy Away' comes from a mid-western band called Poole. They're kind of guitar driven underground pop with layered harmonies reminisent of The Beatles. Great band. I believe they still have a website. You should look them up. I think you'll like'em. >"^_^"<

You're welcome ^^ I think mine is, too, but some people seem to like it...
Awright, Goo Goo Dolls ^________^
I know. you mentioned them in the comment ;) I'll see what I can do about checking them out.
Funny thing, when I came to comment, the song came up on my iTunes playlist. Strange~

The intro was a little shakey. Had to compensate for my speeding up. Again, I layed down the drum tracks, singing the song to myself. I think that was the 9th take. It was the best of all the ones I did. I take it you play bass? *lol*
I tend to let the bass stand out, because I love the melodic tension it creates. Still hate my voice, though. *LOL*
Thank you listening!

I really appreciate that, hon. It's very seldom I get favs for my songs. It means so much to me. There is one other song I uploaded here. It's called "Shine". I recorded it with my of my old bands. If you search some of the later pages, in my gallery, you'll find it. I played drums, Hammond Organ and sang.
