If my childhood memory serves correct it was the 1982 games here in Australia that the official mascot was a cartoon kangaroo named Matilda. No imagination on the name, but I still fell in love with her and I think she was an early influence in my becoming a furry. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation featured her in a number of 30 second cartoon shorts (sound effects only, no dialogue) with various mishaps, at least one of which involved her athletic bloomers slipping down onto her feet. If I recall correctly that happened when she was attempting a hammer throw, and later a pole vault.

After further googling all the keywords I could conjure to locate my lost furry love I've resorted to scraping the bottom of the barrel. I've submitted an online form asking the ABC archives if they have any information and they "will get back to me within 48 hours." I'm not hopeful; anyone here who's a Dr Who fan will know how national broadcasters treated old TV shows back then. Plus, even if the cartoon shorts do exist they'll probably want me to pay through the nose for them. As a foxaroo I can tell you that would be most painful, especially after losing my job in March this year.

So you have drawn the 2014 Glascow Commonwealth Games? And I thought you didn't. I was expecting to see you draw it ages ago on DA. At first I thought it was a Virginia Opossum from America before I realised it was a possum from Australia. That's good. I like it. Have you thought of drawing the Common Brushtail Possum from Australia as well? :D
