When I was assigned summer as my theme season I couldn't resist painting a werewolf seeking relief from the heat in a secluded stream. Who can blame him with that fur coat? I know I cant resist the water during the summer.

I'm not sure for other artists, but since I was only doing a bust I wanted to add something to make it more obvious that this was a werewolf, rather than just a regular wolf (I didn't want jewelry since I wanted it to be a very primal and natural). I went with the longer ruff fur since it is a common and somewhat iconic addition. I suppose it might have to do with the fact longer, flowing fur like that is often associated with majesty, power, reality, and wisdom?
