So my friend revealed to me the existence of "Shrinky Dinks", which allow us to basically print on paper (if you have the Ink Jet Printer friendly version, which I just bought), cut them out and bake them. When baked, they'll shrink to 1/3 their size and become 9x thicker and hard. This sounded like a great opportunity to make charms! So with Digimon coming back with a new season that takes place after the first season, and knowing that you never really find Digimon at conventions, I figured I'd have a crack at them. Another friend of mine had an awesome suggestion to have each Digimon interacting or wearing something that their trainer owns. Thanks so much for the advice, guys!!

I started with Gabumon because he's one of my favorite Digimon. The only thing significant I can think of that Matt had was his sleeveless green turtleneck, so I decided to have Gabumon rolling on it. I know I'm going to find at least one teeth-gnashing Digipurist yell at me that Gabumon is a reptile, not a dog, and that the fur is just a pelt. But Gabumon's second form is a wolf (or wolf-like creature) and the pelt he wears is left over data from that form. So Gabu's a reptile that acts like a dog. So there!

Anyway, he shall be my first charm, and on Monday I'm going to try printing and baking him. I hope you like him!
