Yea. I've heard stories of someone passing out and people dropping them off in a town an hour away with no money. (This was the days before cell phones. )

With Ruth, she wanders off when drunk and ends up in strange places.

Yes, yes it is. Apparently it's a way you can keep fish alive and still tethered when you're fishing by letting them over the side.

Ohhhhhh. You didn't know about running a stringer through the gills as a way to keep fish alive. That would explain why you sounded so confused during the stream. I guess I just took it for granted that people knew about that. My bad.

I think partly because it's not rope, but some kind of thick fishing line, and partly because she's drunk enough she forgot about it.

THat's got to be at least uncomfortable if not downright painful. Gills are sensitive. :(

Oddly this is the first time this has crossed my mind for 'binding' sharks. Who knew technique's used in fishing could apply within the furry realm. =D Awesome piece. ^^
