A lot of my spare time in Iran was time where I explored Oz as a character, and created new parts of her story. One of my favorite thinking places was the bench outside in my grandmother's yard. Sometimes it really felt that Oz was sitting next to me, drinking tea and just chatting with me. By the end of the trip, I felt like I understood her so much better.
