Alright! The fun begins now!

As I mentioned before Last year my friend and I had a little spat about how the next chapter of our book should have been written. To solve the issue we issued a competition between the two of us, Whoever wrote the best Halloween Story Wins.

Needless to say I won last year. And now I'm also hosting it this year. (I piggybacked with Rusty's account. Don't ask.) What does this mean? Well, last year all the stories were shared on the same account. This year, not so much. I don't think that it will be a problem if we don't do the same thing this year so long as every one submits at roughly the same time.

Well, we're doing it again this year and are inviting everybody to join us in attempting to write the best horror story this year. We're going have to change the rules a little bit, but the same basic concept as last year should be okay. Remember to be creative.

The rules are pretty simple.

1* Writers can only write ONE Story. No making multiple stories or changing entries. What is submitted will be the submission.

2* The cutoff date is the 30th of September. And that means MIDNIGHT our time (USA Mountain Standard). Then we'll tally up the points on October 20th, at the same time. Just in time to enjoy and share for Halloween.

3* The theme is basically "Horror". It must be a scary story. Any theme after that will be acceptable. Well, except Adult stuff. We're both very pro-PG. Artistic Death is acceptable, and even the fates of the characters don't have to be known. Tasteful nudity is also acceptable, but PLEASE keep FA's rules in mind as well. All in all, keep the stories rated "General".

4* Must have at least one Protagonist and ONE CLEAR Antagonist or Issue. None of that Steven King crap where you never see the monster or it's just a creepy feeling. The antagonist does not have to be another living being, just don't make it a total enigma.

5* Must have at least one TWIST that would fit in with the story itself.

6* Must be less than 20 Pages long, be self-contained and have a clear ending. Or at least as clear as any horror story can be.

7* Original Work ONLY. No fanfics, worlds that belong to another (sorry Pokemon and Digimon fans), or Characters that already exist. Sadly, this includes Fursonas. For example: I can't write a story about my new Fursona Tricky Chimera and Rusty can't use any of his Kawaii Sentai… or "Cutie Heroes". Writers must Create completely new Characters specific for the story you write.

8* The submissions cannot have art (Including the Thumbnail), but must be submitted as a PDF. (for easy reading without the need to download straight to the computer.)

9* The winner will be decided by a point system. 5 points for Each Individual who Comments & 10 points for each "Favorite", But the total of these points will be transformed into percents and reduced varying upon the amount of Views it receives. (A ton of Views only means so much after all.) After that we each can make our own lists of our favorite stories, if we want. In the very rare case of a tie, it will be decided based on all participant's personal votes.

10. Entries that begin with "It was a dark and stormy night" begins with an introduction like this one will not be considered.

11. Stories should be written in English or translated into English. It is the language most used by people around the world. Feel free to post the story in your native tongue after contest winners are decided.

12. One author per story, no co-authoring. You may bounce around ideas, but each writer is on his or her or whatever own.

13. Tricking people into viewing your story is not allowed. If caught, you will be disqualified. This includes links to your story from outside sources. However, each entry must provide proper url links to the other entries as well as this particular set of rules/submission.
