Heya! It's been a while, hasn't it?
Yeah, TF2's held me down for quite some time now, and I realised last week that my artistic abilities might fade if I keep putting games first before furry art. So I'm moving games off to the side and frequent practicing drawing however long I can.
And to kick off the long drought of not drawing anything, I attempted to get back into my drawing groove drawing heads. Failing that - plus some other sketches - I figured I'd try my hand-paw at... hand-paws.
Here's the backstory behind my decision: I recalled
drawing a whole whack of sketches of hand-paws as practice. In the comments, she responded to a user by providing a link on How to Draw Hands by Sycra whom you can find on YouTube. He's quite a talented artist. His method in that one video alone seemed rather... practical. I decided to take a shot at it.
Within the first few minutes of the video, I'm finding this guy to be slightly odd in speech and tone, but his guides are nothing to blow smoke at. The process felt very practical and approachable. I felt good following along with the video.
I do have a few doubts starting off this style (as you can read in the picture itself), but for the time being, I try my best not to second-guess myself and keep whatever's on the paper. I'm trying my best not to erase any "mistakes" I make. Hopefully I'll improve with this very soon.
As always, I'm willing to improve, so please don't feel bad critiquing me; it's the only way I'll learn. Thank you very much!
