EDIT: I redrew this because I got a wide format printer and the original's size was too small it's prints. X3
Also there was a bunch of things I wanted to fix, so here's the spiffier, higher-res version, now drawn with a Wacom stylus on a Surface Pro! =D
Woo! Actual art from me for the first time in months! =D This is a little image based on real-life events during my sinus surgery back in... April. >.> Almost 4 months to complete a single color drawing. Being sick (and busy at work) sucks. =P
So they -really- don't make hospital gowns long enough... ¬.¬ They're OK when you're walking about and gravity does it's thing, but laying in the bed it tends to ride up and expose a little too much to everyone else in the room. X3
My guy here is a bit off-model compared to his other renditions, but damn, that expression is so cute I couldn't bear to tweak it and risk losing that look. =3
Tweaked my character's colors a bit too; not quite so bright and red as he usually is. I like it! I don't know if it was me being rusty or because there was sooo much fabric I had to ink and shade but the coloring took a really long time for this pic, like 20+ hours. o_o (And I'm still not 100% happy with the fabric shading but oh well. X3 (EDIT: I -am- happier with it now, however! XD )
Anyhoo, hope you all get a little laugh out of my latest submission! Enjoy! =3

Eeeeeeeee! =D I totally <3 his neck fluffs and his expression. He's so adorable. ^_^
I remember seeing some of your roughs for this piccy. Some... eons ago. XD You really need to pick up the pencil more often. Even if it's just to uploading sketches like I do. =3 *giggles* I notice you make his head bigger than I do. And he's more feral than how I draw him too, but he's still crazy cute. ^_^
I love that big fluffy tail! =D *snuggles* You really need to draw more. =3

Yeah, truth be told he would just wrap himself with his own tail, but then I don't have a joke! XD
I think the tail is getting fluffier as times has gone on, but that's just a personal preference. =3
I should do more character pics of stuff that's happened to me in real life. My life has been pretty plain with moments of sheer craziness. XD

I'm better (mostly, though the sinuses and ears ar still giving me issues. Don't know what's in there, but the standard antibiotics don't do it) but my biggest problem is work has picked up big time. Throw in a few computer hardware failures, and suddenly I'm getting run ragged. X3 Thanks for the support, though! *hugs* ^_^
Tell me about it! XD
A little while after they started the IV I had to go to the bathroom I was paranoid about how much of "me" was showing because it feels totally drafty down there, even if it is tied up properly in the back. X3 (Plus dragging an IV to the toilet is a big hassle.)

LOL I can relate to this all too well. though, it's usually how reveling they are in the back that got me. though, after a short while, I found myself feeling more like an old Chevy than a person. I just didn't care anymore. They'd come in to work on me and I'd just be like "What do you need now?"
Very cute drawing.
*wags*

Except for when I had to get up to go pee (IV hydrates you soo quickly X3) I didn't worry about that too much since I was going to be on my rump the whole time (even during the surgery). Or at least I -think- I was. Who knows what they did to a poor cute fox while he was under. XD
By the time I got back into the recovery room I was so hopped up on painkillers I didn't care anymore either. XD
Thanks for the kudos! =)

They had covers, but they were itchy and tightly bound under the mattress, so I kind of avoided them until I started feeling cold on my legs. X3
This was my first actual surgery. I've had scans and tests done though, and they gave me gowns for those too. But I didn't have to lie on a bed for a long time and those gowns seemed longer, so I didn't notice this particular issue until this time. ^_^;

Thanks! I like how the bedding turned out, but I'm still a little iffy on the gown itself. X3 But I really appreciate the fact that someone appreciates the work I do. =3
I've been in hospital gowns before, but none seemed this short and I didn't really have to spend time in a bed waiting hours before and after surgery, so this little problem became quite apparent. XD

Nice pic ^^
I do wonder why those gowns are necessary... Why does one need one when surgery is being done on a body part thats not the torso/chest/lower area?
I think you got the short end of the stick too, because there should be gowns for different sizes. I'm 6'1 and my gown reached the lower part of my thighs when I had to go in for surgery. The real problem: no backs on the gown.

They just want to see everyone's hawt butt. XD
I guess the upper part of the gown is needed since they want fast access to your chest if something goes wrong >.> plus when I was wheeled into the operating room they were flying around me like bees getting ready to cut my nose up and they were sticking sensors on me left and right. X3
And then it was sleepy time. XD Though unlike when I had my wisdom teeth out this time I actually dreamt while I was under. So it wasn't quite like that time-warp experience where one moment you're talking to the doc and the next you're waking up on a recovery table.

Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. I don't remember anymore when I had an MRI of my spine a few years ago whether I was wearing undies or not. I all remember is my legs were killing me after having to lie perfectly still for over an hour. X3
And when I had a colonoscopy a while, well, that was definitely no underwear. And a whole lot more exposure in general. XD

Better, though my ears still hurt and ring. They don't seem to be tied to my sinuses like my doctor said. So I have to go back to him and complain but I've been too busy with work to schedule anything. But thanks for commenting and apologies that it took this long for me to reply. X3
LOL, maybe I emphasized that bulge too much? XD I wasn't trying to portray an erection, though I can imagine that is rather embarrassing to get one in a gown. X3
I'm glad I was out by the end of the day, with my handy bottle of painkillers to snooze away the healing process at home. =D Ugh, *hugs* I'd go crazy if I had to spend weeks in a hospital. >.>

i kno what u mean on the hospital gowns
they put me in one for a surgery, and just the fact i was naked under there kept giving me erections <.<
and when they was taking me to the operating room, they had me laying on one of those beds with wheels and it was obvious to everyone i was pushing my peen down to keep from having a tent while they took me down hall after hall
then like i was still awake when they got me in there, but the stuff they shot me with was making me too disoriented to hide myself, and they flipped up the gown anyway, and i heard ppl laughing >.<
then i went under
well i hope they enjoyed the show, i really hate those things now
and they didnt put me under good enough, i could feel my stomach being cut open D=
just couldnt react to it....

Actually, not being completely under was one of my biggest worries, so I'm shocked to hear a story like yours! Did you tell them you weren't under enough?
And as for the problem with erections, yeah, I was concerned about that too. Though as it turned out I was so panicked by the time they were pushing me into the OR I didn't have enough neurons available to pitch a tent. X3
