Takum noticed the sun was beginning to set and knew he wasn't going to make it back to his home before nighttime, so he decided to take a different path along the edge of the forest. Once he found a clearing, he came out next to a cliff-side with a lovely view of the mountains and a lake below. The fox thought he may as well go explore below as it looked like an area to relax at for a while.

well the loincloth, might be spotted unless every time he got a "haircut" his fur was collected and made into his clothing, so they wouldn't be noticed as easily. i mean if they collected enough he could be wearing a second coat of his fur, now this could be used if he thought he was being followed, at night he would take it off and continue going, they would technically see his pelt, and think something got to him in the middle of the night and turn around. He would technically be dead to the other group, and be able to escape capture.
