Stalking alone takes place in the Scarbryush, a grassland/scrub forest that was once lightly populated. It was the site of an extended theatre of operation in the previous global conflict. A result of which is the total reduction of the indigenous 'Sycb' dogs. Scyb are wiry frizzy coated kanin, of which there are only a mongrels left and even fewer genuine articles, all of which have special contractual offers with the Kanin mercenaries to be outfitted and dropped off in their homeland to pursue their personal goals (implied vengeance against the Antheran) illustrated in this is one such combatant, a loner moving through foliage that is largely dead.
