no. 26: Spider

Almost always a source of fright and used as a mascot for Halloween, I probably should have place this lower on the list if only because spiders aren't technically monsters, they're regular, ordinary creatures, but since they are so widely loathed and feared I figured I'd put them a little higher up, but still not too much.

Of course, just because they aren't monsters didn't stop me from making it into one!Of course when it comes to the land of the dead, spiders only appear as either the souls of the crushed arachnids, or someone who died very ironically by them. However, as monsters can come in all shapes and forms, it's not impossible to see one look very much like a spider. These can also be more disturbing forms of succubi, which is essentially the idea I had for this thing. I personally really like it, I felt it very unique.
