My original attempts turned into 'As it were in germany, my friends?' which made sense to me but it seemed more as a 'you can stand down now' sort of comment so I didn't bother.

If ever there was a reason to hate my school life, it would be the fact they put me in french and not german class. More so cos I'll need it for the rest of my life and this situation reflects how little I know. ._. Damn you educational board! Damn you all to hell! DX

Anyway, point is I'm gonna have to try learn german on the run be looks of things. Hopefully my partner can teach me cos he's a native german, but my learning speed is more the issue. I'm as British as they come.

And you cant say "Wie geht alles in Deutschland?" If you want to say this you must replace the word "geht" with "läuft". And "alles" sounds wrong in this sentence (you dont say this, try "es" more specific). So = "Wie läuft es in Deutschland?" sounds like "How is it going in germany?"

Ja weil der Pickel zu aufällig war, wurde 1915 der M1915 Stahlhelm eingeführt, gilt auch heute noch als einer der besten universal Helme in der Rüstungsindustrie
Pickelhaube wurde von, und jetzt muss ich kurz überlegen, ich glaube 1845 bis 1915 benutzt und drüber hinaus.Danach haben sie ja noch die Veteranene des Weltkrieges getragen wie # Hindenburg.
