The idea of being able to transform has always been a fascination of mine. It's probably the major thing that ended up drawing me to furry stuff in the first place. I plan to draw a lot more of this when I get better at it.
I want to draw a whole lot, but I don't presently have the time, so I did a collage of a number of different ideas. I hit upon some of the themes I've seen. A sequence of changing from one creature to another, a lycanthrope going through the change at the full moon, a kangaroo turning into some kind of chair, and a deer melting into a liquid state.
I'm up against a deadline so I couldn't clean up as many parts as I wanted to. Especially with the cat-bird one. Sequences are a lot more challenging than I thought they would be. Those of you out there that can do them well I envy you.

Sweet stuff, Menagerie! I love the melting deer, of course.
You know, I've always loved your clean line-work and pencil-styles.. it's got good natural curves to it. I appreciate black and white moreso than the average person, as I think colours aren't always necessary, since one is able to mentally fill in the colouration with imagination.

Thanks. I thought you'd like the deer. :)
My first scan attempt ate a lot of the shading so I pulled out my portable to get a better version. It still ate some of it, but overall handled the greyscale better. I try for clean lines, and use my light table to redo about everything from the initial sketches. However, I sometimes feel that I loose 'energy' or something when I clean it all up. I'm still happy with it, but something seems to vanish and end up looking slightly more bland to me.
