The Blue Dimension

Ohhh, I can really imagine the Blue Dimension:
An eerie place, where the sky is illuminated in dark blue shades. There is no day, only a night brightened by a constant full moon. Streets are cobbled and houses on the street appear mostly in the Victorian style, yet there are abandonned skyscrapers in a modern, almost futuristic, neo-gothic style. Most of those buildings appear black and decayed, barely emitting light themselves, only reflecting the moonlight. The dimension is for the most part a huge continent that is basically one abandonned city with a few monsters roaming in it, surrounded by water.
The climate of this rather silent and lonely place is constant with temperatures between 18°C and 21 °C, cooling breezes flow through the air, occasionally. However, the silent beauty is disturbed by heavy thunderstorms and rain, occuring spontaneously and staying up to a week.
While obvious signs of civilization are found, in buildings, even wrecks of vehicles, and working electricity, nowhere in the Blue Dimension, inhabitants besides the monsters roaming some parts of this giant city-continent can be found anywhere.
Once, multiple teams of scouts have been sent to the Dimension to research the place and trying to search for signs of life, even researching how the planet of the Dimension looks like and how far that civilization has advanced, before seemingly vanishing completely.
With the outbreak of a host-mutating virus at the Bispen Research Center, the same Research Center that was responsible for the discovery and research of the Blue Dimension, the teams have been evacuated. The portal, however, was never deactivated and the Computers and data of the scouts have never been retrieved. With victims of the virusses infesting the Research Center, they seem to have found a home in the Blue Dimension, aswell.
With wars, poverty, and corruption taking over the lands, after the outbreak, some were trying to get ahold of the data left in the dimension to either advance their knowledge, to trade it, or to use the won knowledge against others. After all, the Blue Dimension is a silent and beautiful place with treasures for those who dare entering it. The problem is that this silence can become a life-threatening situation, in a matter of minutes.
