So alright, first things first let me just address this. Yes. I TOTALLY went out on a limb on the design for this guy! But hey, this is supposed to be my spin on these iconic characters and in a lot of ways I wish I had done this a bit more on other pictures, but what's done is done by now. Even though it may look a bit more like a rat I REALLY like how this guy looks. I guess that's because I've never been a huge fan of werewolves. That's not to say I don't like the idea and concept, but I've never really liked how they've been executed. They either the half human/wolf hybrid look which I personally thinks absolutely stupid or just turn into really big wolves, nothing that really distinguishes them from a normal animal. I think the only look I've really liked was the bizarre Hadoken wielding versions from Castlevania and that was purely for the lul factor. I've rarely seen them depicted in a way that really makes them seem otherworldly and scary. I mean don't get me wrong, turning into a savage wolf is scary enough as is, but... you get my drift. I think!
I also find the more modern depiction of them all being extremely pompous racists really annoying. I mean, I guess I can see it, given pack dynamics of wolves but it just makes them extremely annoying characters. I also don't get the rivalry they have toward vampires that just seemed to spring up out of butt fuck nowhere, I just don't see why either race would really given a rat's ass about the other... now the race riot between mummies and abominable snowmen, that is alive and well! Don't get me started on it!
Werewolves I generally view as just part of the average wildlife in Purgatory. Just about any animal is a 'were' something I'd assume and all usually border on partially, if not fully sentient. There are those cases of people who have been turned into one by whatever means brought upon them in life... but they usually find the whole transformation thing and being doomed to walk forever as a monster is pretty status quo in the underworld. They live life as if nothing's changed
