VOTE YOU MAGGOTS!!
Its Voting day in the US, get out and VOTE!!! You legally regestered to vote, live in the US, No excuses...VOTE!!
BTW, I wore this shirt to the polling place and got an OOHRA! from a Korean War vet.
AND Had one PC woman tell me that my "Aggressive display of Jingoism is offensive!"
Both myself and the Korean War Vet openly laughed in her face, she wasn't amused!

I'd adjust that to say, "You registered to vote, you're an American Citizen." Since it is a requirement to be an American Citizen to vote, but not a requirement to live in the U.S. (Oh, your LEGAL residence has to be here, but you can stay in a foreign country for an extended time and vote absentee).
For my state, the voting process is done by mail only, no voting booths, which I do miss.
My ballot had 19 entries- 2 for advisory votes on actions already taken by the government and had no impact whatsoever because it was an FYI vote only. The other elections were for judges running unopposed, so you had a choice of voting for the person listed or a write in.
It literally was a ballot that had zero effective results since there were no issues being voted on. It was a meaningless and pointless exercise.
And you know what? I still did it. Because you need to exercise your right to vote or lose it. If you don't vote, you don't have any real right to complain about it later. Take the time to do what is needed. Don't be a dick. Vote today.

Judges, water commissioners, etc. They get voted in. They don't even have platforms or descriptions, just a name. They don't campaign or advertise because they don't need to. They are automatic wins.
I've often considered running for water commissioner. Do you need to know anything about the job? Nope. Experience? None needed. It's not even a full time job in many places. But if you were unemployed or didn't have lots of hobbies (like drawing), then you could easily run against the other person and stand a chance of winning by accident. I remember a few years ago one position had *nobody* running, so anyone that applied could have the position.

Remembers a few years ago a friend locally, as a joke, ran for county corinor as a write-in candidate. He plastered numerous flyiers all over the UW campus. Saying that he'd be perfect cause he knows how to deal with Zombies.
He came in a very close second place to the one named person running for the job.

Leaving in about 10 minutes to vote. Yet again i'm stuck voting for the most part for a bunch of anti gun dipshits i don't agree with but who have it right on just about every other issue. Amazingly after vetting all the candidates I'm actually voting for a few RINO republicans which almost never happens.
So I take it you vote against the republicans.
You vote against them for drafting and pushing the patriot act that is a complete and utter violation of the protection against improper searches.
You vote against them for repeatedly and continuously violating the establishment clause and making creationist and religious nonsense part of school curriculum in southern states.
You vote against them for a complete violation of the equal protection and supremacy clauses for denying the right to marriage to a gay minority that is granted to a straight majority. Marriage of course already being defined as a civil right in meyer v nebraska that everybody is entitled to.
So I take it you vote against the republicans for opening a facility with indefinite detention with no charge or trial and using cruel and unusual punishment.
You vote against them for doing everything they can to deny women the right to an abortion which is a right that's been ruled is protected by the constitution.
Just saying, there's other parts to the constitution before and after the 2nd amendment. Most of which the republicans clearly despise based on their policy.
I love the constitution as well, but i can't vote for the party that routinely pisses all over it other than that 2nd part of that one part.

Voted on the way home from work. We actually had some real elections here in the people's commonwealth of Mass, and a couple of ballot questions. The state legislature is something like 95% Democrat party, but we do elect republican governors from time to time.
Five people running for Governor, Couple of Rs running for state and federal legislature that have a chance. A slim chance, against the democratic machine, but real enough.
Couple of ballot questions that are pulling out more than the usual midterm diehards. Expanding the bottle deposit law, repealing the automatic increase provisions of the gasoline tax, repealing the casino law, and mandating paid sick time for employees. Early returns show the sick time one looks likely to pass, and the repealing the gas tax auto-increase.

here we go to a Poling station and Vote and Voting is Handled by Elections Canada NO Government Interference. they have been trying to take away some peoples right to vote Or flat Refusing to allow people to vote... this is Harper trying to stay in power. this man makes your republicans look good.
this wolf has been loaded, but beginning to wonder more and more whether or not it means anything in this state.
The Democratic governor and council really managed to screw up our state election process. We now have 100% mail in ballots. Oh, if you want you can still go to a polling place on Election Day, and pick up another pallet there and fill it out in person. But they still mail in ballots to everyone. Only a signature is required for identification on those. We already have multiple reports of people receiving more than one ballot, receiving ballots for people that used to live at their location along with their own ballots, and not receiving any ballots at all.
Add to that the fact that the legislature and the governor have repealed any requirement for identification or even state residency in order to vote. In fact, a court recently ruled that you only need to have the intention to move to the district in order to cast a vote there. In order to demonstrate just how flawed the system was, a person went to another district and ballot (it was blank). The judge ruled at the stated intention to move to new district was sufficient validity to allow application to vote. And to compound things, they changed the law to allow same day registration.
Now they have handed out Colorado drivers licenses to illegal aliens, nearly fifty thousand of them, in case someone wants to see a picture ID (not that one is needed any longer).
We are SOOO screwed!

I hear the phrase "aggressive display of jingoism" and the 'Spear of Justice' theme immediately starts playing in my head. Or should I say "head-cannon." Heh. That joke will only make sense to a specific subset of fellow ubernerds. X3 Why do so many normies these days assume jingoism is always bad? Jingoism can be used to encourage an attitude of RESISTANCE among The People, but that attitude is exactly what the internationalist left is trying to crush beneath their iron-heeled jackboot, all the while claiming that THEY are "the resistance." They're Lawful Evil masquerading as Chaotic Good. In reality, nationalism (formerly regarded as a Lawful Good philosophy which differentiates it from fascism which is Lawful Evil) is the new Chaotic Good. Of course, that would be CIVIC nationalism which could also be called "Resistance Nationalism" which is the philosophy of partisans like the Czechs and Slovaks who took part in Operation Anthropoid. For a fictional example, I'd go with General Leia's revolutionary Partisan movement.
