Many thanks to hazmatscarf (http://hazmatscarf.deviantart.com/), who took the time to bunch these animations into a handy flash package so that we can all see them.

You know, I did notice a bit of that hollow/underwater tinge to the sound after the yinglet was done recording. You think that's because of the microphone quality? I figured the one I gave him was of decent quality, but I might be wrong about that. And I certainly wouldn't be against re-recording the audio if that's the case.
Honestly, not knowing what you used / how everything was done, it could be any number of things. That hollow just made me think small mic in a room with no acoustic shielding, but it could also be processing / effects / pitch correction or even compression?
Anyways, don't worry much about it, just have fun and keep making awesome things. This really made my day. :)

It's hard to tell from the picture (I've been relying on the tail puff more than the muzzle); is this a male or female yinglet? And how does the opposite sound in comparison?
As for this particular one, though, NICE! I like the voice. Kas was right, it is high and kinda squeaky. Maybe someday we'll get a yinglet radio play. :)

This here is generic male yinglet #279. I'll do a female voice for comparison soon (probably Kass, for reference).
And a yinglet radio play? It would start with a few seconds of conversation, before more and more begin to fight for attention, then devolve into an angry, incoherent tussle within a minute.

Pronunciation focused towards the front of the mouth/tip of the tongue, taking slightly longer to move between syllables due to the longer mouth and tongue, and a bit of over-pronunciation due to that... it does end up sounding a bit like those accents, in bits and pieces!
I love it, it also confirms their unique phonetic handicap is accommodated by their accents (I couldn't help reading their dialogue in thick accents, including Kass). Moreover, we have an idea of what some yinglet accents are like (Zis'lets, anyway); now we just need some Dis'let samples. :)
Totally an aside, and this doesn't apply to yinglets or your characters in any capacity, I'm of the persuasion that characters with whom readers might even familiarize should (unless necessary) have the severity of their accents intentionally obscured by the accuracy of dialogue to make them comprehensible, but also to avoid falling into the trap of making characters that are subverted by eye-roll-inducing tropes, like old Antoine D'Coollette (SatAM/Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog) or Johann Krauss-esque characters.

Yeah, that's something that went through my mind when I first got the idea of their dental situation affecting their speech somehow. I've read a few comics where the phonically spelled-out accents were overwhelming, and were a big of a slog to read through, so I was wary of including any at all at first. I'm glad I ended up including this, but a little definitely goes a long way.
Well, of course, it's an element of yinglet biology that even has them factionalized, and you do a great job of demonstrating that in the comic, even wrapping identity politics around the whole thing without overdoing it. It's even subtle to the reader most of the time, particularly when Kass is speaking because his dialogue is still-- speech impediment aside-- very normal, as with other more cultured yinglets, like Vizlet.
Ahh, good good! It's good to hear that the comic gave a pretty good impression of them before this.
Also, I've been toying around with the audio today and am pretty sure I've figured out what's causing the tinny ambiance. I'll re-upload with improved sound as soon as the audio's treated.

-Raw oysters
-Digging in the sand
-There is a dead body half a mile from the city that he's taken to poking with a stick lately.
-Most male yinglets are bisexual, with a heavy preference for other males. They don't interact with females much, except for a certain time, under certain conditions~

Preeeeeetty much! There are some disadvantages to being just recently evolved to a sapient state, but they'll develop more intelligence and self-control over the next few centuries, if they manage to survive that long!
And hey, if you're in the mood for yinglet-making, then go for it! I love seeing anything I've come up with rendered in other artists' styles and interpretations! On that note, I'm putting together a more detailed yinglet info/anatomy sheet today, which should clear up any questions about how these little things are put together.

Yeah, I admit I'm not much of a Flash coder, and had to get some outside help to put a container together to play the animations. There's a few things I'd want to change (if I actually knew how), but since it's been uploaded for a while now, I may as well just make some improvements to the next one I do.
Hey, thanks! I mostly use motion graphics for animation these days, but still have a healthy respect for hand-drawn animation, like the stuff you do. You've got a great sense of fluid motion, bounciness, and strong/exaggerated poses and expressions, which really compliments your gallery's theme! I've seen very few artists who capture the change from a semi-realistic character into a cartoon (and the animation changes that come along with it), so by all means keep it up!
As for this Flash, yeah; I've definitely gotta make one for the Indrel and Baxxid at some point.

Sakes alive this is absolutely charming! Having the chance to hear and see these little marvels in action is an opportunity I dared not even consider the possibility of! This really made my day and is exceptionally entertaining! I love the opening as well, these species are becoming more and more endearing the more I look into them and your quality is nothing short of top notch! If I knew anything about flash or animating... or voice recording/modifying this would be something incredible to do with my own species and characters! I'm deeply deeply glad now more than ever that I happened upon that page of your comic. Not only has it been a very creative and compelling read but you've proven to be rather inspirational!
I was just discussing yingvoices with someone again, and this came up again - I would absolutely love to help on the audio side of things if you ever did a remake/remaster of this! It's been a great go-to example for anyone trying to get a good yinglet voice going, accent and all! :)
Got sent zhis after a friend of mine told me I sound just like a yinglet whilst tinkering around wizh Morphvox to get feminine voice for when I feel more woman-like.
I love zhis, and would love to see more of zhis honestly.
Maybe I shouldn't change zhe settings any furzher on my program eizher and keep zhe scav voice
