Really nice, crisp color set. The DE don't get these sort of pallets often but it's looking super clean and well highlighted. The red picks up the eye and the script is cool. Don't play now but used to field 4K points of Necron.

My friend who plays dark eldar got one of these and he painted his all solid gold with all the 'egg' like shapes painted to look like gems, He calls it the blingwing. But this one looks better

I like the sound of that x3 If it's an even coat, it could look boss as hell, but gold is so easy to fuck up...especially Citadel's gold :I Their light metallics aren't great. Next one should look better though. This looks ok because of the sort of low picture quality, and it's still good on real life, but you can see blobs and streaks in a couple places. I just got an airbrush specifically to handle whites, so I should get a niiiiiiiice even coat on the next one :3

Heh yeah citadel's gold is shit, alot of there yellowish colours are trash. Thats why when it comes to yellows I use Privater Press paints. But my friend just used a big bottle of regular acrylic gold paint to make the base coat on his blingwing

It was the good stuff, so it dosnt look to bad, but he still hasnt gotten the grasp of drybrushing and washing

Nice! A neat thing with those clear plastic cockpits is to paint the inside with a couple layers of ghost tint paint. Gets a really neat tinted window look and you only have to paint a couple details on the pilot and the inside since it's all going to be tinted out. Just a few highlights like the helmet and a gauge or two. Gives a neat affect.

how much firepower does this thing pack?

Two anti-armor dark lances, a splinter cannon, and then four missiles of various types under its wings. I'm personally a fan of necrotoxin missiles; tons of poison wounds, plus pinning, which is situational but still cool.
