The night sky was lit up with lambs from the human's camps. The human were talking and laughing; telling stories of what they did with the last group of furs they captured. Donell opened a sleepy eye and his vision was blurry. He then opened both eyes and began feeling around the ground for his glasses.
“Looking for these?” Said a familiar voice as a hand dropped the glasses outside the cage. “You might as well see what's about to happen to you mutt.”
Donell quickly put on his glasses, but struggled trying to stand up due to the poison that was injected into him from the fight. He grabbed the bars of his cell to support him. He looked around and saw there more humans with weapons.
“Where am I?” Donell asked as he kept looking around at his surroundings. Hoping to find his key chain weapon.
“My camp which you will be calling home for a while my black and white friend.”
“I won't be staying here! I'll get out! When I do...”
“I think you mean if you do. See my friends here want to beat you until you're no longer among the living unless you tell us what we want to know.”
“Ok... I'll tell you... You guys will find them... In your dreams! Return Exia!” Donell called for his key chain weapon then it appeared in front of him.
“Armed intervention!” He shouted, causing the weapon to grow and attached it to his left arm. Instead of having the blade drawn he had the gun that was attached to it aimed at the human's head. Suddenly the rest of the humans had their weapons aimed at Donell. However, Donell did not take his eyes off their leader.
“Release me or die.”
“How stupid are you? Even if you killed me, you would die with me. Drop your weapon dog.”
“Make me!”
Suddenly four darts were fired at the back of Donell. He quickly deflected them, but they were a distraction for their leader to throw a dart at Donell's neck. Donell felt the dart pierce his neck and was once again unconcious.
Meanwhile Erikku was running through the forest until he saw a damaged cage, darts and a dirt trail as if someone had been dragged deeper into the forest. He sniffed the dart and knew the needle was dipped in some kind of poison. He then looked around to see if anyone was still in the area. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath then moved the earth from under him and used his wind powers to move him forward.
“Please be okay Donell. I'm coming.” As he was moving through the forest he noticed some traps were hidden among the trees and cages were swinging in the middle air. He stopped moving then raised the surrounding the earth to trigger the traps that were tied to wires then did a few round house kicks to create physical blades of air that cut down the cages.
“It's these kind of humans that give their kind a bad reputation.” He said as he continued going through the forest to continue his search for his missing roommate.
While Erikku was continuing his search, Donell was unconscious, leaning against the bars of his cage. Suddenly he feels warmer, so he started to think that it was the poison taken affect. He didn't bother opening his eyes almost as if he was giving up. Until he heard 3 voices he had heard once before.
“It is not your time to die.” The 3 voices said repeatedly until Donell woke up only to see the 3 headed dragon from his dreams and his father standing next to beast.
“Do you still reject the orb of darkness, my son?”
“Of all time to ask that question you pick this time father. Of course I refuse it! I don't want to be a dragon! I'm fine the way I am!”
“Yet you still remain imprisoned by these humans. If you take the power, it will heal you and you could free yourself. There would be no need to wait for someone to rescue you like your brothers or the dragon warriors I've sent to get you and your brothers.”
“Someone will come I just know it. I just have to hang on.”
“The poison is spreading through out your body soon you may not be able to recover from it.”
“Then that would be my choice!”
The 3 headed dragon approached Donell with all three of heads meeting the dane's eyes. Donell didn't back down from them as he continued to look into the middle head's eyes.
“He is the host we have chosen.” The middle head said then the left head spoke, “One that lives by his own free will.” Lastly the right head said, “No matter what others say or do.”
“So you three still want him, but he will not take you. This interesting, but what do you think Donell?”
“I think the four of you need your heads examined. I said I don't want to be a dragon and I don't need help!”
“Yet there are creatures you want to see and speak with correct? Being here and poisoned won't help you get to them anytime soon except for maybe in a coffin.”
“So what's your point?”Donell asked then him and his father witnessed the 3 headed dragon become 2 separate dragons. One with two heads stood next to the Megacharizard while the other stood in front of Donell.
“Allow me to live within you and prove my usefulness to you. I can not turn you into a dragon without the rest of me, but I can give you some power. I can heal you for starters and we can go from there. If that is ok by you.”
“I'm going to assume you won't leave me alone until I have at least accepted some part of you. So I will take your offer, but don't betray our new found trust.”
“Understood. Now take this ring, I won't be able to give you the orb until I am whole again. I will also reside in your mind if you ever need me.”
“You have my thanks.” The two shook hands then there was a blinding light causing Donell to wake up . He looked around and saw all but the human who captured him and Erikku were still fighting. He stood up and this time he didn't waiver. He felt like his normal self. He saw the lock for the cage and blasted it off causing the two to stop fighting then they looked at Donell.
“I'm glad to see your alright Donell.”
“How are you standing? The poison should have put you at death's door with the grim reaper getting ready to answer it.”
“You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Now I think I owe you for locking me in that cage like some wild animal.”
Donell raised is arm and with his fingers spread apart then fired a black energy blast. However, it did not kill the man, but bind him to one of the dying trees. He tried to free himself as soon as he was pinned and he began to shout
“How did you do that?” Erikku asked as he walked up to Donell.
“Hard to explain at the moment, but let's go back to our room and I'll try to explain once we get there.”
The two smiled and begin walking back to the mansion.
