Introducing Cafe Plaisir: October's Jaunt, a fanfiction/tribute/collaboratative work with self-inclusion! Lots of stuff I don't normally do!
I've recently been rather taken by the Cafe Plaisir setting, to the extent that I was inspired after a sleepless night to write this piece in a single sitting.

I've been in contact with Dark Violet recently, who really is a terrific adult Pokemon writer and artist (who you really should check out,) as well as a pretty nice chap, who let me play with the setting and their own characters to produce a bit of a fun caper story, that I now share with you. Dark Violet took the time to ensure I got the characters right and even rewrote some dialogue for me, generally being a great sport.
I dare say the result is a worthwhile read, because it's a lot of fun. z: )
I had a great time writing this, it's been fun not only to take a small break (a very small break, don't worry, I have some lead, 24 is already 14.7k words) from writing PMDA and explore another world altogether, one with different rules and extra considerations to write with. Plus, I'm in it! \o/ It's been a great excercise.
It's distinctly possible that this heralds the start of new occasional works featuring me and Silver. It might even lead to other things in the future!

Great work on this story, its fun to see October and Silver in this story, it was fun to see how they would adapt in this new environment of the good ol Cafe Palasair! I had no idea that you were good friends with Dark Violet that's really neat! Hey for anyone who sees this message you really should read their stories because you would be missing out if you didn't Seriously! Dark Violet's and October's Read them! They worked hard on these stories and you should read through and give a review.
Gosh darn it I regret taking so long to read this~ I would expect absolutely nothing less from the crimson terror! Running from danger and outfoxing dumb dogs, lusting on naughty lucarios and destroying property, it's a very fun read from start to finish ^.^
I love how you portray October's rather...unique personality through it all c: a true delight to see things from his perspective. All should bow to superior vulpine grace!

I really wasn't expecting October's body to physically transform when he swapped between alternate universes. Interesting stuff, and good setup/introduction to the character and setting as a whole! I see why this story's called 'October's Jaunt' - dude seriously wasn't expecting to spend as much time here as he did.
