The photo does not do it justice, this is the finished space shuttle Atlantis for
Tonka_Wolf this was one of the most epic models I have ever done just due to the sheer size of the thing.
The little sports car on the desk behind it is what I NORMALLY build. So the scale of this build is...well...
HOURS of air brush, jars and jars of paint, can after can of primer, multiple bottles of glue....and one little surprise.
Hope you like it big guy. By the way I demand you come and collect it in person...heh.

For airbrushing you only need about 40 PSI (depends on how thick you want to lay the paint) so even a small compressor will get the job done.
HOWEVER you SHOULD get one with an air tank, the bladder type compressors don't hold pressure consistently. Even a small one will work for airbrush. But if you get a bigger one you can also use it for air tools, just add a regulator.

This is the Monogram kit.
If it IS the same kit give me a ring when you give it a try. Its not the WORST kit I have built...not the 2nd worst...but...in the top ten list.
I can give you a few pointers and ideas when you give it a try.
Only question is, what do you do for an encore.

Just confirmed that mine is the Monogram version. Looking forward to building it some day but my next project is the Cygnus from Disney's the Black Hole. The MPC kit is terrible: http://spaceart.de/produkte/das_sch.....us_bh006-b.jpg so I bought the parts from ShapeWays to build a 4' version that looks way more accurate. Here is the model builder's 3D printed parts: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lazym.....644653412223/#
Groovey, can't wait to see how that one turns out.
The WORST model I have ever done EVER was an MPC model of a Gremlin race car from the 1970s.

I know it looks good, but if you only knew how badly the parts fit was, how much putty I had to slap into the body to get it to line up...and how many NEW swear words I used while trying to get the engine to fit square.......
