Ahh now that I have more back story it's more understandable. I'm sure there was a little while where she was getting stuff at Bob's Big and Tall Shop. Myself I was six feet tall at eleven years old and then the curse of having Dad's feet.. Try to find size 13 womans shoes... back in the late 60s! GOOD LUCK!
Even in roleplay and when writing stories, the bigger fox has always been a guard or a soldier of some kind of position with the job description of "apply fist to enemy's face and make it hurt". It's pretty fitting that in a noir setting she would be some kind of detective or enforcer.
