The 609th Scout Battalion was assigned to Jedi General Davith Novaflare during the opening months of the Clone Wars. Commander Nova took on his nickname to honor General Novaflare and even after executing Order 66, the commander still kept the nickname out of respect for a fallen, skilled warrior. Commander Nova has his hair and beard dyed dark blue and has a blue spear head tattooed under each eye.
