Something very fast and simple just for fun.
Kung Fu Panda--not my favorite film, but I have some friends who are sucking me in :P At least the art was luscious. Especially the backgrounds. They needed to have an hour and a half of just scenery or *cough2Danimationcough*
on a totally unrelated note, but one I can't get unexcited about, Disney is doing another 2D animated film (it's about freakin' time) and which will be featuring the first ever African American Disney princess. Right on. I'm ridiculously excited. MORE 2D PLEASE.

It may be "fast and simple," but it's still beautiful!
I'm definitely on the 2D bandwagon. 3D is okay, but it doesn't quite do it for me the way traditional, hand-drawn animation does. I'm really hoping The Princess and the Frog does well at the box office or it will probably put the kibosh on any more 2D animated features for some time. Put another way, it needs to be a lot better than Disney's most recent 2D films. :-/
