Haha, Jim Keely is based off an old friend of mine who was actually like that -- he'd done a stint as an ambulance driver in Bosnia and all sorts of crazy stuff. Last I heard, he's now a Major and currently eyeballs-deep in some intelligence stuff, not sure what. And yes, we met playing DnD of all things. XD (tabletop though, I don't larp, lol.)
