I absolutely loved the Master Chief in Halo 1, even if he was a faceless protagonist. I thought his overall design was cool and commanding. However, over the next half dozen games they didn't bother to update his design at all. Each new game brought him a slightly more detailed bump map and some reflective surfaces. At the time of this comic Halo 3 was on the horizon and we just made a shot in the dark that Halo 4 would be a thing. Little did we know there'd be 3 or 4 more games after we "finished the fight".
