Everything is big in Texas
Just reached Amarillo Texas, 1125 miles in one hit, and 17 hours later...dead tired...trying to sleep in the car parked in a graveyard.

Aaaah! I was there once! It is within walking distance of truck stops! I wish I could go again...
Besides big, good, inexpensive steaks, they have some really good beers there, too. I had a Palo Duro Pale Ale, and to this day I've been trying to find another beer like it. (I don't like bitter, hoppy stuff). I like to describe it as kinda like Corona, but much better.
Many times over the last few years I've wished I had a reason to end up in Amarillo again, just for this.

They have a list of everyone who has ate the steak on the website. http://bigtexan.com/72oz-hall-of-fame/ Most of the people have been under 200 pounds.
I've seen the list. In fact I was looking for Andre on there last night....just skimming names. I've never taken the time to look more closely. It is a fact though that some thin people seem to be able to do it just fine. Me, I go about 180 and my ability to eat is so small that I take a doggy bag home 90% of the time when I go out to a restaurant. I just can't eat much at a time. Got a bad tummy.
Always used to go the dalhart way to AZ
Finally figured out that while the freeway route is a little longer, it's actually faster due to being able to go 80 in the 75s rather than 60 in the 55s and slowing down to 30 for every town (shoutouts to hooker and tyrone oklahoma, haha)
Best time for MSP to PHX, 26hrs non-stop. c:
