Once a year, for my birthday, I'll get a piece of art for myself. I never allow myself to spend money on art outside the context of a gift for someone else, so I'm always thrilled when I'm able to get something from an artist I really admire. Iggi's traditional work is gorgeous and I HIGHLY recommend commissioning her if you get the chance. She was a pleasure to work with!

Rory is my new main sona. I still have Comet, and a few other characters I use for fun, but Rory is my bottom bitch. lol I'm always evolving and I feel like every so often I want to reinvent myself (every couple of years). She's an athletic, Mid-20's, leopard seal. She's got a boss attitude and you never really know if she's going to eat you or befriend you. She's got the most thought out character profile of any of my characters and represents my "dark" side, though probably very exaggerated. I think I made her sound a little scary.

Personality: Rory is a young female Leopard Seal with a bad girl streak. She uses her superficial charm and good looks to get what she wants, but does not inflict unnecessary harm onto others (She is not a sociopath, but isn't above using others to reach whatever goal she has set). She does this by allowing her target to underestimate her or by seducing them, and when their guard is down, she makes her move. She is a patient predator and will only strike when the timing is perfect, thus guaranteeing her success. By the time her target realizes what's happened she's already vanished.

Her occupation as a bounty hunter and long spans of isolation in the arctic have desensitized her empathy towards others, despite having a high degree of emotional intelligence (aka powers of manipulation and persuasion). However, to those who earn her trust and respect (usually in the form of besting, wising-up to or challenging her), she is a reliable and considerate individual to have around and will not likely become your enemy again. Rory is extremely independent and prefers being alone. There is a reason behind how she became such a successful con-artist and hunter, after all. After a life time of hard experiences, struggling to survive and dealing with her own emotional pain, she has learned to harness her experiences to better herself often at the expense of those around her. Rory is, by all accounts, dangerous and risky to have in your circle. For those who take the risk of knowing her she may either break or make you.

Rory's sexual orientation is a bit of a grey area. Because she often uses others for her own personal gain, she is flexible with who she seduces. Age, gender, sexual identity or social status are irrelevant to her. However, Rory is consistently dominating towards other females and will not allow them to have power over her. She derives pleasure from putting other females in their place, beneath her. Males aren't far off from the same mark. While they may "think" they are in charge, it is only because Rory allows them to think so. This usually makes males an easier and primary target for Rory.

Romantically, she is hard to reach (obviously) and is probably far too much work for too little reward for most, at least in the beginning. If you melt her icy heart you will have her undying loyalty and devotion. She will go to the ends of the Earth to satisfy her partner, make personal sacrifices and reveal the vulnerable side of herself. The same traits that would have been used to destroy you would instead be used in your favor. Realizing this creates weakness in her, she is extremely selective of who she lets in. Her bonds last a life time, hence why she makes so few of them. Rory is not swayed by typical gestures of romance, attachment and bonding. Sweet affections and words will not get you far, but displays of devotion backed by consistent action, challenging her, and time will put you ahead of the game.
