Something tells me the pills are only a tiny part of the equation. The fact is, Gem clearly has a lot of repressed sorrow and pain, and now it's manifesting in the worst way possible, as a malevolent darkness that seeks to engulf the dream world in an overwhelming atmosphere of grief and despair.
Ok it really is a psychological thriller at this point... I love it. This is rhe kind of depth and storyline I live for reading... I just wish it wasn't so hard on me these days. It wasn't before... I revelled in this kind of environment when it came to fiction... I guess I've gotten weaker than I used to be...
