Flinters Art Collection Vol V - May Contain Nuts
This is the wraparound cover to my next art collection book, volume five, hopefully coming out in time for BLFC. It will be 80-100 pages, color, and some other adjectives.
Why the title, "May Contain Nuts" ? I have a history of weird unrelated titles. And this subject really qualifies.
Why a volcano? This is an homage / parody of may Boris Vallejo covers of early sci-fi/fantasy novels. If it wasn't a hero standing on a pile of skulls, it was volcanoes and a babe hanging to the hero's leg.
Why a raccoon? Colleen is the pudgy member of the SugarNutz gang of girls I like to draw a lot. She's always up for a bit of adventure and is eager to blog about it.
Why a circular saw? Tools. 'Nuff said.
Why does a mountain ridge have a power outlet? How do you know they don't? Go climb one and see for yourself. It could be hidden from view.

Awesome idea. I love the image, especially since it has Colleen in it.
But I think you mean Boris Vallejo. He and Frank Frazetta are my two favorite fantasy/sci-fi artists.

Oh,lol, I remeber Vallejo's cover art. Though there was third archetype - female or male (obligatory naked, rarely - in loincloth) in opposition to some gigantic figure or monster\beast.
