Found this millipede in the jungle ,brought it back for observation .It was released unharmed

i read they can can hurt your skin if you touch or try to squish them they give off a scent too when squished so you need to wash up well after contact

I personnaly never squished one. The only one I handled got carefully put in my hand and I've let it walk however it wanted.

lol did you know when they are frightened they release a caustic cyanide chemical it can burn your skin,and make it smell funny for days,and 300 of this millipede put together can create enough cyanide to kill a person

I love millipedes. Especially since there harmless where I live. Not so big though. :P This picture is awesome. Squished one when I was younger. They do produce a rather foul smell. Good enough incentive not to do it again.

Ya I learned that millipedes produce a foul smell the hard way when I picked one up, and my hand smelled awful ,it took a few days to go away
