Juby informs Luna of the attack on the convoy. The two guards were returned to Canterlot, but the princesses and Manablade are both missing. Luna, reminded of her responsibility as the next in the chain of command, issues her first orders as Equestria's new leader.

Unlike the other comics where I try to have a buffer, this one I intend to post as they are completed, though I think I will make friday my regular comic update day. If I have comics to post, they'll go up friday.
As for this one, after season 3 I started thinking of what I wanted, and to me the Crystal Empire opened up so many possibilities for stories, most of which I don't think the main series has taken advantage of. To that end, I crafted a story that would fit my wish list along with that of other fans, and use rarely seen characters and OC's to expand Equestria and create an epic character driven story. To that end, as much as I had liked Celestia, she had to be absent or not the central focus. I wanted a story where Luna got the spotlight of leadership and full command of Equestria with no Celestia to advise or overrule her. I wanted Derpy to have a speaking role. I wanted a globe hopping trip across Equestria proper, and bring up such things as the fate of some of the more memorable villains and make them a genuine threat to ponykind.
The adrenaline level had to be upped several notches, as does the stakes, and the story had to have an arc....
So this will be my side season 4, and if there is a sequel, it will pick up right after Cutie Markless, and involve Starlight Glimmer and a rarely seen group, the Griffons.
