Celestia and Twilight exchange words with Sunset Shimmer before they and Manablade are taken away, but to where? How will Equestria survive without the Elements Of Harmony?

How is it that TWO Alicorn princesses are taken down that easily by a civilian unicorn? They didn't even try to stop here, the Changelings (and Sunset) just chained 'em up and took away. What kind of power does Sunset Shimmer have that they don't have (sorry, I didn't watch ALL of the first Equestria Girls movie, I only saw the very end of the movie.)

Are you really that surprised? First of all, recall that this takes place during early/mid season 4, Twilight having JUST become an alicorn a short while ago. She hasn't mastered her powers yet. Second, they were ambushed, and Celestia is a bit surprised at seeing her other former student.
Considering that Nightmare Moon, Queen Chrysalis, Tirek, and others have managed to take out Celestia when she knew they were coming, and it seems the princesses don't really train in their powers for combat, it's actually pretty likely to me once their guards are disabled.
As for Sunset Shimmer's powers, I could put for a supposition, but it would be a spoiler.
