About my opinion - I think Patreon isn't bad idea, BUT I really hate when people delete whole gallery on FA and move everything on Patreon just to get money -.- I agree with Raitlin, it could be fair to offer some bonus stuff here, like wips and sketches.

i have no intention of deleting my stuff from here like ever, until FA policy won't fit me heavily. i might move some stuff here and there, but even if i set up patreon, this stays my main galery and source of money. just, i don't know what could i actually post on patreon that i ain't posting here, since practically all my stuff goes to FA. that's why i'm asking.

I see...in that case it will be better to wait for another answers (oh my, five more faves, but no comment). Some artists just ask their watchers if they want to donate them something but to say truth, I have no idea how exactly is it working and how successful they are. I'm just getting pretty sick of those "artists" who upload just thumbnail and link to Patreon, more times same picture, always asking for money or reminding something you can pay for few times a day -.- But you seem to be normal girl :)

btw...I know it sounds stupid, but something like huge text "comment please" above half of picture could maybe help you to get more comments. *giggles* I guess that people saw cute picture, so they gave it +fav and didn't even noticed description. *is really proud of himself for noticing question mark in picture name and for his curiosity*

Well if you need to raise some money Patreon sure sounds like a good idea...even a little bit helps right? And furthermore, your art is good, so I think you have what it takes to make a Patreon...I guess it's all up to you really, if you feel like following an account there and maybe make some extra stuff for supporters alongside the rest of your artsing...(I don't really use Patreon and I don't know exactly how it works, but I know most artists do that kind of thing...offering previews and exclusive artworks for a price, so I guess that'd be something to consider by opening up an account there?) Either way, that's what I think...

Having as Patreon isn't too bad an idea. Am sure people wouldn't mind if you don't start uploading only post-stamp sized pictures on FA after you made your Patreon account.
At least thats what gets me all grumpy when artists run to Patreon and leave FA as some sort of advertising for their Patreon. "Some" exclusive stuff for PA might be a good idea. Like special commissions and comics. I agree with Repligon. Patreon should be supportive to the artist, not a paywall.

i can fully understand that opinion, since i have the same. that's why i actually didn't want to start patreon, cause i don't like such type of posting my own content. i'm here on FA for audience, support, self pleasure and simply for sharing my ideas to the world. and that's also why i won't be probably posting any high res or sketches, though might upload some wips, and unfinished work as bonuses sometimes, i will probably only hold two raffles. i could never do them probperly here, mabey it will work there.

i use this patreon thing just as some small, stable support for my personal and day-by-day life, to keep me alive and artsy.

I'm all for people creating a patreon.
I've seen people offering higher resolutions and in some cases even psd files. I think I've seen a few offer discounts on commisions, ych's and the like.
It's also a great way for doing larger projects you otherwise might not really have time for, like personal short comics.

Of course with the paid model, there will always be people who want as much as possible to be seen free of charge. For that, I'd say it's better to join them, rather than to fight them. Releasing whatever is put up on patreon at a later date and/or in a lower resolution.

Oh, and on the topic of a raffle, be carefull with that. There are plenty of artists I've seen doing it, but it can't be the only thing you offer. This would qualify as gambling iirc, so it's best to do a little research on that.

i'll try and see what it tastes like. i actually may have problems with patreon payment policy, so it's not even sur if i will hold it for longer.

I stop watching any artist that posts more ads for Patreon then art. If I were an artist I would post the same pic on FA as well as my Patreon but maybe a higer res or something. I am watching over 2K artists here. I'd have to be rich to "support" them all. So honestly I axe anybody who pushes to hard. I also do not like the idea of paying for art that isnt even my character.

that's why i want to hold a raffle, cause i don't really like the idea of people paying me to see an art that everybody else will see, but few days later :U i'm also not an enthusiast of patreon, but i need some stable income v.v

i don't see anything new, because your point is my point exactly. i'm still sceptic to patreon and will probably take it off in some time, because it just doesn't suit me, and because the raffle thing i put there in change for wips, sketches and stuff, won't be probably working too well. i'd rather find a way in which people who want to give out any money for my sake could just donate me, once, or how many times they like.

I think the only solution is donate button directly to your Paypal plus offering regulary commissions and maybe some auctions.
