Although Rossweisse, Jori and Lilla have the ability to speak any language, no one else is going to understand them if they're speaking in Aesir.

And normally not-so-quiet Lilla finally gets a line for the first time since page 1 of this chapter.

"Rossweisse" is a very foreign sounding name to Theodoria, so she matches it the best she can. Of course, if you want to be technical, she would say whatever it sounds closest to in Greek, but then that would be lost in translation, so I used the English adaptation.

I rather like "Rose White", it's the sort of thing that ends up getting stories wrapped around it.
And it'd look rather nice on a military banner too.

Oh I love that little snip at Rosswiesse that Jori tosses in there, especially after she'd been complaining about not finding work earlier and then blindly rejecting an offer from someone obviously of wealth (since you don't kidnap people who can't pay a decent ransom).

Rossweisse had her hopes a bit unrealistically high, thinking some king would see her worth and make her a general or knight, but Jori understands how things really work on Earth. Rossweisse places high importance on loyalty, so now that she has committed herself, she will take this position very seriously.

Yes Rossweisse does seem to keep forgetting she's on Earth now and thinks she's used to taking for granted aren't going to go her way and Jori's the one she needs to listen to if she wants to live comfortably while there.

I suppose that's the comic-book version of those TV shows where all foreigners are shown as just speaking English with an accent.
