Eggs Benedict with cream cheese, Greens, and Morning star pa
I normally hate posting food pictures but I am actually going to post a recipe with this because it was really good and I made it with the random things I found in my fridge.
I usually don't eat breakfast either but....
I got creative and my stomach was being weird.
Ingredients:
-Eggs [1 for each poached egg]
-White vinegar [To put in the water you are boiling to poach the eggs, it helps coagulate the whites.]
-English Muffins
-Morning star maple syrup patties
-Cream Cheese
-Spinach and Arugula
-Green Onions
-Pepper
-Paprika
How to do the do:
1] Boil water
2] Put salt and vinegar in water [Half a teaspoon of vinegar should be good].
3] I use those egg poaching baskets and submerge them, but just enough so when you put the egg in it the egg doesn't float out of it. It can happen. It will happen, and it makes a giant mess.
4] I leave mine in for about 4 minutes.
5] I butter the inside of both halves of the muffin and put them in a pan that I have heated up. I pan toast them until both sides are golden.
6] I put the muffin neatly on a plate and put cream cheese on the inside of the muffin half that will be the bottom. If you put it on both halves it will not taste good.
7] I then take the patties and put them in the same pan I toasted the muffins in. You don't need to put any butter or olive oil because there will be butter left in the pan from when you toasted the muffin.
8] I take the patties and I put one one each muffin on the part that has the cream cheese. Then I take the poached egg and put it on top of the patty. [Adjust it so it doesn't slide off. Make sure there is no water left on the egg or in your poaching basket otherwise you will have a mess.]
9] Sprinkle a little pepper and paprika on top of the egg and garnish with very fine cut green onions.
10] Take your greens and put them on the side of the English muffin with no cream cheese.
11] Stuff that badboy into your facehole and enjoy it. [Or not. Whatever.]
Optional:
I actually wanted to put avocado on it. But mine went bad.
