Everyone, I am pleased to finally be sharing with you Little Joys, an AB/DL novella and the single longest work to-date that I have completed. And it’s been a hell of a thing. This thing is so long, I’ve broken it up into eleven chapters for ease of reading, and I’m gonna post one chapter a day until it’s all up so that I’m not spamming your inboxes, so the whole thing will be uploaded by Saturday the 20th of June. So, Chapter 2 will go up sometime tomorrow, probably in the morning.

And sorry, but it’s gonna be a few days before we get to the good stuff. If you’ve been reading my stuff up to this point, you know how much I like my characters and backstory and setting. We’ll get there eventually.

So, just a few quick caveats before I let you go to favorite or comment or show all of your friends, or whatever else you might do:
First, this wasn’t written for a chapter format. It was written as a straight shot with only one scene break, and then broken into chapter segments for ease of reading and uploading (kinda wondering how long a 35,000 word FA page would look on a screen), so the chapter ends and beginnings aren’t natural transitions, they’re just places in the narrative I felt that I could break it. Sorry if it feels jarring.
Second, this is my very first long-form project. I’ve never written and completed anything this long before, so there have definitely been some teething issues (no pun intended), and I had no editor or beta besides myself due to my friends all having lives (the fools), and I’ve probably made some mistakes here and there, for which I’m sorry. I can only promise that I’ll get better as I go on, but this was a valuable learning experience for me, and it’s left me pumped for some future projects that will be beginning very soon.
And third, sorry to disappoint, but the characters are humans, not furries. I know, it’s crushing. As originally conceived, this was just supposed to be a short one-shot, not a nearly full-length novel, so by the time I’d gotten halfway through the first draft the characters were stuck in my head. I hope you’ve still enjoyed the story regardless. For those of you who’d like to read something else of mine that’s baby fur-themed and a little bit longer than my usual stuff, Baby’s First Book Club is available immediately for consumption, and I do also have a concept in mind for a baby fur-themed that might actually break full novel length, depending on what happens with it, though that one won’t come around for a while.
